Virtual Consultation Financial Policy
Clear fees before care begins.
This page outlines the intended financial structure for future virtual orofacial pain consultations. It is provided for informational purposes and does not currently function as a signed financial agreement.
30 minutes
Initial Virtual Consultation
A focused initial consultation for history review, symptom discussion, review of available records, care navigation, and discussion of appropriate next steps.
15 minutes
Follow-Up Virtual Visit
A shorter follow-up visit for established consultation patients to review progress, clarify recommendations, discuss care coordination, or determine next steps.
15-minute increments
Additional Time
If additional time is needed and available, visits may be extended in 15-minute increments only with patient consent. Any additional fee will be disclosed before the visit is extended.
Financial Expectations
Transparent pricing and consent before additional charges.
The intended model is designed to avoid surprise charges. Patients should understand the visit length, fee, additional-time policy, and payment expectations before scheduling.
01
Fees will be disclosed before scheduling.
02
Virtual consultations are expected to launch as a cash-pay service first.
03
Medical insurance billing may be considered later after billing, credentialing, and payer workflows are established.
04
HSA/FSA cards may be accepted for eligible clinical consultation services when available.
05
Eligibility for HSA/FSA reimbursement depends on the patient’s plan and tax situation.
06
Additional consultation time will not be added without patient consent before the visit is extended.
Good Faith Estimate
Expected charges should be provided before scheduled care.
For patients who are uninsured or who are not using insurance, a Good Faith Estimate may be required before scheduled care or when requested. The estimate is intended to help patients understand expected charges before receiving care.
When virtual consultations launch, the financial workflow should include clear pricing before scheduling and a process for documenting any patient-approved additional time.
Additional services that are scheduled separately, provided by another provider, or not anticipated before care may not be included in the original estimate.
Important Notice
This page is not insurance and not a payment portal.
This page does not create health insurance coverage, a membership plan, a payment agreement, or a doctor-patient relationship. Future payment, consent, scheduling, and clinical workflows will need to be completed through appropriate secure systems before care begins.
